Under the superb, long-time leadership of Elise Aitken, our assistant Spiritual Leader, the Am Shalom Youth Group (ASYG) has been among the most vibrant and engaged movements within the Temple and in our community. The ASYG warmly welcomes children ages 12–18. Youth Group program activities aim to bring the children’s Judaism out of the Temple and into their world. The program brings them closer to other Jewish teens while also fostering a sense of social consciousness through leadership training, tzedakah projects, and Temple and public service. Even if you are not currently a member of the Temple, you are welcome to attend this membership meeting to find out how the ASYG may benefit your child(ren) and your family.
